Why comma,

Scoring is solved.
Sports data is not.

There are already tools that collect scores. The hard part was never the score. It is capturing structured, verified, reusable data that is still worth something long after the podium was crowned.

Why we built it

We spent years cleaning up other solutions' data.

Rawmotion · elite event scoring & broadcast servicesWyldata · federation data systemsFLYP Fantasy · data into fan engagementWhoRanked · global rankings and stats

Between our companies and platforms we have spent more hours fixing and cleaning up competition data after the fact than we care to count. At some point it was obvious: the problem has to be solved at the start, not at the end. That is comma, a platform built on the same elite-level standards as Rawmotion, to not only score your events but to manage your organisation and ensure your data is accurate.

What one duplicate costs

Duplicates create more issues than one might think.

  1. 1One unverified entry becomes a 2nd, 3rd, … version of the same athlete
  2. 2All land in rankings with their own points, and the ranking stops being trustworthy
  3. 3Every statistic on top of it breaks: starts, wins, podiums, form
  4. 4Fantasy and predictions become impossible, because the game cannot tell who is who

Verifying an athlete changes nothing about your event day. It changes everything about what the data is worth afterwards.

Comparison

Where comma, is different.

Plenty of good tools will get you through a weekend. Here's what changes when the platform is built for the organisation, not just the competition.

Data quality
comma, Every score is entered against a structured athlete, round and format from the start, so it's ready to use again straight away.
Other scoring tools Good enough to print a result sheet. Using it for anything else usually means workarounds, manual oversight, or exporting it and cleaning it up by hand.
Federation features
comma, Run clubs, staff, memberships and events in one place, not just one competition at a time. That includes membership and licensing with payments.
Other scoring tools Built to run a single event. Managing the organisation behind it means separate tools and spreadsheets.
Verified athletes
comma, Every athlete is one real, verified person with one profile that follows them from event to event. No more duplicates.
Other scoring tools Athletes get typed in fresh at every event, so the same rider can end up as two or three different names.
Verified judges
comma, Judges have their own licensed profile, so you can see how they have scored across every event they have worked.
Other scoring tools Judges are just a name on a list for that one event, with no record or profile of how they have scored elsewhere.
Transparent pricing
comma, Prices are published and as transparent as they can be. No surprises because more athletes show up than anticipated. Book insurance to get a full refund should your event not happen.
Other scoring tools Prices are often quoted per athlete or negotiated case by case, so a bigger event is hard to budget for in advance.
Ecosystem
comma, Your results automatically show up on WhoRanked's global rankings and the WSPL, and can unlock FLYP Fantasy for your event, with no extra work.
Other scoring tools It's just the one tool. Getting your results published anywhere else, like a public ranking site, is a project of its own, and often a manual one.
Upgrade path
comma, If your event grows into an elite-level production, Rawmotion's scoring crews and broadcast team can step in on the same data, no switch needed.
Other scoring tools Growing into an elite-level event usually means switching providers, and starting your data from zero.
